Ingredients (Partial Mash23 L)

  • 0.9 kg English 2-row Pale

    English 2-row Pale

    All English Ales. Workhorse of British Brewing. Infusion Mash.

  • 0.18 kg English Wheat Malt

    English Wheat Malt

    Light flavor, creamy head. For wheat beers, stouts, doppelbocks and alt beers.

  • 0.22 kg Crystal Malt 40°L

    Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 0.45 kg English Brown Malt

    English Brown Malt

    Imparts a dry, biscuit flavor. Used in nut brown ales, porters and some Belgian ales.

  • 0.09 kg English Chocolate Malt

    English Chocolate Malt

    Dark malt that gives a rich red or brown color and nutty flavor. Use for: Brown ales, porters, some stouts Maintains some malty flavor, not as dark as roasted malt.

  • 1.9 kg Dry Extra Light; Muntons

    Dry Extra Light; Muntons

    Contains no colored malts or unmalted products; the light color of this product is achieved by using low processing temperatures and low-colored raw materials.

  • 20 g Fuggle - 4.8 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Mild. Mainly used for finishing and dry hopping especially pale ales, porters, and stouts. Aroma is mild and pleasant, spicy, and soft.

  • 9 g East Kent Goldings - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Mild, slightly flowery.

  • 9 g East Kent Goldings - 6.0 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

  • 1 tsp irish moss - (omitted from calculations)

    Ideally suited for Scottish-style ales, and high gravity ales of all types.

Notes

mini-mash grains, then add DME and continue boil. I haven't tried this yet but I will soon!
