Simple ESB
Extra Special/Strong Bitter (English Pale Ale) • All Grain • 5 gal
Pretty simple bitter recipe. I used a single infusion mash at 150F for 90 minutes, then batch sparged and boiled the wort for 75 minutes. Aeration really helps with this yeast strain (I used pure O2).

Not too bad

For my first all-grain attempt, this beer turned out pretty good. Nice hoppy bitterness without being overpowering, and a great hop flavor from the Hallertauer and Fuggles. Slightly detectable level of diacetyl, but it really doesn't clash with this beer. Maybe I will refine my technique a bit.
