Tends to increase lautering efficiency due to a stiffer husk. May be used as the base malt for any beer style. The enzymes in all varieties of the current crop are sufficient to support high percentages of specialty malts and adjuncts.

Black Roasted Barley
Unmalted roasted grain, it is the backbone of many stouts. Imparts a sharp acrid flavor characteristic of dry stouts. Gives "dryness" to a stout or porter ,more so than regular Roasted Barley.

White Labs WLP840 American Lager
This yeast is used to produce American style lagers. Dry and clean with a very slight apple fruitiness. Sulfur and diacetyl production is minimal.
Notes
.046875 lb = .75 ounce Mash at 152F for 60min. Sparge to 7 gallons. 90 minute boil, adding hops for last 60 minutes.

Not quite Shiner Bock, but not bad. Also, .09375 lbs of Roasted Barley is 1.5oz, not .75 oz. I didn't realize this until after brewing, had to add Sinamar before kegging.
