  • 10 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 1 lbs Crystal Malt 40°L

    Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 0.5 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L

    Crystal Malt 60°L

    Sweet caramel flavor, deep golden to red color. For dark amber and brown ales.

  • 0.5 lbs Belgian Cara-Pils

    Belgian Cara-Pils

    Significantly increases foam/head retention and body of the beer.

  • 0.25 lbs Crystal Malt 80°L

    Crystal Malt 80°L

    Body and Richness. Distictive Nutty flavor and or sweet, smooth caramel flavor and a red to deep red color. For porters, old ales.

  • 0.125 lbs American Chocolate Malt

    Use in all types to adjust color and add nutty, toasted flavor. Chocolate flavor.

  • 0.5 lbs Barley Flaked

    Barley Flaked

    Helps head retention, imparts creamy smoothness. For porters and stouts.

  • 1.5 oz Columbus - 9.1 AA% pellets; boiled 90 min

    Used mainly for bittering with some flavor qualities as well. Aroma is pleasant.

  • 1 oz Cascade - 5.1 AA% whole; boiled 30 min

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

Notes

mashed grains in 13 qts. reverse osmosis water treated with 1tsp gypsum 3.5tsp calcium carbonate and 1tsp salt at 150 degrees for 90 min. fermenyed at 62 degrees.
