Ingredients (All Grain5.5 gal)

  • 10.5 lbs Belgian Pils

    Belgian Pils

    Pilsner style malted barley grain.

  • 0.5 lbs German Light Munich

    German Light Munich

    For a desired malty, nutty flavor. Lagers, Oktoberfests and bock beer.

  • 0.5 lbs Belgian Biscuit

    Belgian Biscuit

    Warm baked biscuit flavor and aroma. Increases body. Use in Belgian beers.

  • 0.5 lbs Belgian Aromatic

    Belgian Aromatic

    Imparts a big malt aroma. Use in brown ales, Belgian dubbels and tripels.

  • 0.5 lbs Midwest Wheat Malt

    Midwest Wheat Malt

    Light flavor and creamy head. For American weizenbier, weissbier and dunkelweiss.

  • 0.5 lbs Belgian Cara-Pils

    Belgian Cara-Pils

    Significantly increases foam/head retention and body of the beer.

  • 1 oz Styrian Goldings - 6.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    White Labs WLP530 Abbey Ale

    Used in two of the six Trappist breweries remaining in the world, this yeast produces the distinctive fruitiness and plum characteristics. Excellent yeast for high gravity beers, Belgian ales, dubbels and trippels.

First attempt at a Belgian Pale Ale. I have the idea to try adding raspberry to a portion of this beer in the secondary. Mash Schedule: 122F - 20 min 150F - 60 min 168F - 10 min Boil: 90 min Fermentation Schedule: Primary: 7 days @ 72 F Secondary: 21 days @ 72 F
