Ingredients (All Grain5 gal)

  • 5 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

    German Vienna

Increases malty flavor, provides balance. Use in Vienna, Märzen and Oktoberfest.

    German Wheat Malt Light

Typical top fermented aroma, produces superb wheat beers.

  • 1.5 lbs Belgian Cara-Pils

    Belgian Cara-Pils

Significantly increases foam/head retention and body of the beer.

Wow did this turn out great, I really recommend that you all try this. While drinking this you can picture what it's like to be in Germany drinking this on a Saturday afternoon at the pub. with the hop shortage I had to use perle for 60 and williamette for the 15 and 0. With as good as this tastes I hope I can make the exact recipe sometime.

I have brewed this for the second time. This time I actual had the correct hops. It was 3 months since I brewed and it turned out great. I might try to mix half amer 2 row and half maris otter for a little maltier flavor, but really just to see the difference. I am making the azorean 848 Helles this week.
