My attempt at a noble Dormunder Export.

Ingredients (All Grain, 5 gal)

Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

German Vienna
German Vienna
Increases malty flavor, provides balance. Use in Vienna, Märzen and Oktoberfest.

Typical top fermented aroma, produces superb wheat beers.

Significantly increases foam/head retention and body of the beer.

Tettnanger - 4.5 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

Wyeast 2565 Kolsch
A hybrid of ale and lager characteristics. This strain develops excellent maltiness with subdued fruitiness, and a crisp finish. Ferments well at moderate temperatures.
Notes
Step mash @122F for 20 min. then 152-154F for 60 minutes ... Sparge with 170F water ... Use any good Wyeast Smack Pack German yeast.

Wow did this turn out great, I really recommend that you all try this. While drinking this you can picture what it's like to be in Germany drinking this on a Saturday afternoon at the pub. AWESOME ../ easy drinking with complexity ... Yummy ... post back with your comments OK? My spec's were 1.053 O.G. amd 1.010 F.G.

Really good Dortumder Export ... true beer of Dusseldorf, I highly recommend this beer ... WOW ... GREAT FLAVOR ! ! ! if you read this and don't make it you are losing out on one of the best "Working Class" brews. Look at the ingredients ... it's so easy :-)
great beer even with adjustments

with the hop shortage I had to use perle for 60 and williamette for the 15 and 0. With as good as this tastes I hope I can make the exact recipe sometime.

I have been saving my Tettnanger just for this recipe, I have upgraded to a 10 gallon system 2 kegs of this should last me a while if I don't tell my friends I have it LOL ...

I have brewed this for the second time. This time I actual had the correct hops. It was 3 months since I brewed and it turned out great. I might try to mix half amer 2 row and half maris otter for a little maltier flavor, but really just to see the difference. I am making the azorean 848 Helles this week.
