Ingredients (All Grain10 gal)

  • 14 lbs English 2-row Pils

    English 2-row Pils

    Pilsner base malt.

  • 2 lbs Caramel Wheat Malt

    Caramel Wheat Malt

    For dark ales, hefeweizen, dunkelweizen, wheat bocks and double bocks.

  • 2 lbs Belgian Cara-Pils

    Belgian Cara-Pils

    Significantly increases foam/head retention and body of the beer.

  • 1 lbs Rice Syrup

    Rice Syrup

    Used like other rice adjuncts in American and Japenes lagers to provide a dry, clean taste and light body. Adds gravity without changing body or flavor substantially. Use in place of corn sugar in small quantities.

  • 2 oz Tettnanger - 4.5 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • 2 oz Tettnanger - 4.5 AA% pellets; boiled 30 min

  • 2 oz Saaz - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 10 min

    Saaz

    Used for finishing pilseners, continental lagers, and wheats. The aroma is spicy and pleasant with fragrant overtones.

  • 8 oz Jalepeno Peppers - (omitted from calculations)

    White Labs WLP800 Pilsner Lager

    Classic pilsner strain from the premier pilsner producer in the Czech Republic. Somewhat dry with a malty finish, this yeast is best suited for European pilsner production.

Notes

Turned out real nice. Has a decent burn. Next time I will split half Anaheim and half Jalepeno to mellow.
