Bottled Last Night
2003-12-18 3:57pm
I bottled this last night after it sat in the secondary for 2 weeks. A taste from when I was transferring shows a fairly strong coffee flavor. I plan on letting this sit in bottles for 3 weeks before trying. Hopefully some of the coffee will mellow.

This sat in secondary for 3.5 weeks not 2 weeks. I forgot when I brewed.
Almost there!

I but one bottle in the refrigerator on January 8th, 2004. I waited a week then popped the top on it. It was starting to come along carbonation wise, but still has a "young" taste. I'm thinking another week or two and this may be a winner. Has a nice hint of coffee without being overpowering.
What a jolt!!

The young flavor has left, but the coffee has come on strong. Hopefully this will subside, but probably not. Not one of my favorite stouts, but a couple friends think it's great.
Starting to get there

After 6 months it's finally starting to come around. The harsher coffee flavor is mellowing and overall the flavor is becoming better. Still not my favorite stout, but not bad either.
