    All English Ales. Workhorse of British Brewing. Infusion Mash.

  • 2.5 oz Challenger - 7.0 AA% pellets; boiled 90 min

    Popular bittering hop used primarily in British ales and lagers. Mild to moderate aroma, but quite spicy.

  • 1 oz Challenger - 7.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

  • White Labs WLP028 Edinburgh Scottish Ale

    White Labs WLP028 Edinburgh Scottish Ale

    Scotland is famous for its malty, strong ales. This yeast can reproduce complex, flavorful Scottish style ales. This yeast can be an everyday strain, similar to WLP001. Hop character is not muted with this strain, as it is with WLP002.

This is the first step of an experiment - the result of which will be a Single-Malt Scottish Style Eis-Barleywine for the 2004 Upper Mississippi Mash-Out.
