  • 2.5 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 3 lbs English Wheat Malt

    English Wheat Malt

    Light flavor, creamy head. For wheat beers, stouts, doppelbocks and alt beers.

  • .5 lbs Munich Malt

    Munich Malt

    Sweet, toasted flavor and aroma. For Oktoberfests and malty styles

  • 4.5 lbs Dry Wheat; Muntons

    Dry Wheat; Muntons

    Made with a preponderance of wheat malt (55%) for the production of wheat or Weiss beers. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 1 oz Cascade - 6.8 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

Notes

Mashed in at 150 with 2.5 gals of liquor. Mashed for about an hour before we discovered a lack of iodine, hopefully it converted! Sparged with 5 gals of 170F liquor and boiled for one hour making hop additions as noted. Added DME at boil and about 1 gallon of water.

Final Gravity Adjust

FG was actually 1.090! The boil was alot stronger than expected... this was originally planned to be a 6 gallon witbeer spinnoff, it has almost become a weizenbock by strength. We may add 1 gallon of distilled water to the primary, just to bring it back into expected ranges of malt and bitterness. ...Damn I am hung-over.
