A special for the 300th Anniversary of St Petersburg...a strong stout which combines Belgian Chocolate, American Bourbon and Russian Imperial taste. This one is for Catherine! Should best be served with vanilla ice cream, any chocolate dessert, or simply as an "after-dinner" drink.

  • 4 lbs Belgian Pils

    Belgian Pils

    Pilsner style malted barley grain.

  • 1.10 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L

    Crystal Malt 60°L

    Sweet caramel flavor, deep golden to red color. For dark amber and brown ales.

  • 0.55 lbs English Chocolate Malt

    Dark malt that gives a rich red or brown color and nutty flavor. Use for: Brown ales, porters, some stouts Maintains some malty flavor, not as dark as roasted malt.

  • 0.50 lbs Roasted Barley

    Roasted Barley

    Sweet, grainy, coffee flavor and a red to deep brown color. For porters and stouts.

  • 3.3 lbs Liquid Dark Extract

    Liquid Dark Extract

    Used predominantly in the production of dark beers such as milds, browns, porters, and stouts.

  • 3.3 lbs Dry Extra Light Extract

    For making very pale ales and lagers.

  • .5 lbs Liquid Wheat Extract

    Made with a preponderance of wheat malt (55%) for the production of wheat or Weiss beers. Contains no colored malts or hops.

    Used for bittering and flavor qualities in light and dark American lagers. Aroma is very floral.

  • 1.00 oz Liberty - 4.0 AA% pellets; boiled 2 min

    Rich with a dry finish, minerally profile, bold and crisp, with some fruitiness.

Notes

Brewed for the 300th anniversary of St Petersburg. Add Belgian Chocolate according to taste; and add 1 pint of Bourbon along with the priming sugar. Add wheat flakes to enhance the head.
