Turned out a tasty American Brown Ale after a coulple months in the bottle. good enough to make it again. Could become a house favorite.

  • .1875 lbs American Chocolate Malt

    American Chocolate Malt

    Use in all types to adjust color and add nutty, toasted flavor. Chocolate flavor.

  • .75 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L

    Crystal Malt 60°L

    Sweet caramel flavor, deep golden to red color. For dark amber and brown ales.

  • .0625 lbs Black Roasted Barley

    Black Roasted Barley

    Unmalted roasted grain, it is the backbone of many stouts. Imparts a sharp acrid flavor characteristic of dry stouts. Gives "dryness" to a stout or porter ,more so than regular Roasted Barley.

  • 4 lbs Liquid Amber Extract

    Liquid Amber Extract

    Amber is used predominantly in the production of medium-colored beers such as pale ales, IPAs, and bitters.

  • 4 lbs Light; Mountmellick

Brewed 12/5/02 OG 1.056 FG 1.016 Bottled 12/27/02 Very slow fermentation start. Prolonged slow primary fermentation. Secondary in cold garage. 3rd place winner at local homebrew club's monthly contest.
