Used 0.7 lbs of Munich and some more hops. Put ~80 ppm Ca in the form of CaCl. Looks good and smells good fresh out of the Pot.

Ingredients (All Grain16.5 gal)

  • 12.57 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 14.36 lbs Pacific Northwest Wheat

    Pacific Northwest Wheat

  • 0.27 lbs American Caramel 40°L

    American Caramel 40°L

Provides color, a unique flavor, body, and contributes to foam retention and beer stability.

  • 0.29 lbs Munich Malt

    Munich Malt

Sweet, toasted flavor and aroma. For Oktoberfests and malty styles

  • 3.1 oz Tettnanger - 4.5 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    Tettnanger

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • 1.65 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% whole; boiled 1 min

    Cascade

Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • White Labs WLP320 American Hefeweizen Ale

White Labs WLP320 American Hefeweizen Ale

This yeast is used to produce the Oregon style American Hefeweizen. Unlike WLP300, this yeast produces a very slight amount of the banana and clove notes. It produces some sulfur, but is otherwise a clean fermenting yeast, which does not flocculate well,

Notes

Used yeast from widmer hef bottle and aimed for O.G. of 1.048

Got what I wanted and that was a close comparison to Widmer Hef. Most of the people that tried it could not beleive that I made it. So good that I am making it again!
