Hans und Franz ESB
Extra Special/Strong Bitter (English Pale Ale) • All Grain • 5 gal
My dog Hans was named after the SNL skit. He was a great Sheperd/Dobie/etc mutt; a little bit of everything. Was clearing out the old in my stock of ingredients and came up with this. Not a true ESB especially with the Cali yeast and the non-Brit ingredients but WTF, eh. Drink Up!!! Thought the name was especially fitting with the use of all the German grains. (He WAS a great dog. Damn cancer. RIP Hooch... This one's for you.)

Now this is a great brew IMHO. Complex, malty character, just enough bitters to 'almost' offset the malt.
