Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 1.0 lbs Crystal Malt 40°L

    Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • .125 lbs American Chocolate Malt

    American Chocolate Malt

    Use in all types to adjust color and add nutty, toasted flavor. Chocolate flavor.

  • .5 lbs Belgian Caramunich

    Belgian Caramunich

    Caramel, full flavor, copper color. For Belgian ales, German smoked and bocks.

  • 6.5 lbs Liquid Light Extract

    Liquid Light Extract

    A brewer can create any beer style with this extract when used as a base in conjunction with colored malts and selected hops. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • .125 lbs Malto Dextrin

    Malto Dextrin

    Adds body and mouthfeel. For all extract beers. Does not ferment.

  • .75 oz Pride of Ringwood - 10.5 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

  • White Labs WLP009 Australian Ale

    White Labs WLP009 Australian Ale

    Produces a clean, malty beer. Pleasant ester character, can be described as "bready". Can ferment successfully, and clean, at higher temperatures. This yeast combines good flocculation with good attenuation.

The 40'L malt is actually Special Roast 50'L (wasn't on available list) >Malto-dextrin is for a bit of sweet/smooth(optional) >3/4 tsp Irish Moss 15mins till end of boil >add Ultra and 1.25oz Ringwood hops when inserting wort chiller or during fermentation(dry hop for aroma only)-follow your nose >.5# extract to prime or 3/4C corn sugar
