  • 20 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 3 lbs Crystal Malt 40°L

    Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 1 lbs Pacific Northwest Wheat

    Pacific Northwest Wheat

  • 2 oz East Kent Goldings - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    East Kent Goldings

    Mild, slightly flowery.

  • 1 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% pellets; boiled 30 min

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • 1 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% pellets; boiled 10 min

After going thru 15 recipes this is the end result. First place in local IPA contest. Wheat use for head only, good in or out of recipe.

made slight change

I like my beer to be a little clearer so reduced the crystal 40 to 1-2# and up the two row same amount reduced. Other than that it's been a good brew to have on hand any time.
