this will make a high alcohol, more bitter Kolsch style Ale. Unfortunately, I named it correctly, because my starter was contaminated. next time, i'm not using a starter, there's no need for one.

Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 1.5 lbs American Vienna

    American Vienna

    Increases malty flavor, provides balance. Use in Vienna, Märzen and Oktoberfest.

  • 6 lbs Dry Light Extract

    Dry Light Extract

    White color, mild flavor. Will produce lagers and Pilseners and can also be used to produce darker beers when used in conjunction with colored malts. Made of pale malt.

  • 1 lbs Corn Sugar

    Corn Sugar

    Use in priming beer or in extract recipes where flaked maize would be used in a mash.

  • 2 oz Tettnanger - 3.9 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

Cajun, you should know that llamas don't speak German. We speak Spanish, and we bite really hard. So watch out!!!!! Starters work for me. I brew in MN and in the winter the house is cold. Starters are a life saver.
