Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • .5 lbs Crystal Malt 20°L

    Crystal Malt 20°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 6 lbs Dry Light Extract

    Dry Light Extract

    White color, mild flavor. Will produce lagers and Pilseners and can also be used to produce darker beers when used in conjunction with colored malts. Made of pale malt.

  • 1 oz Crystal - 4.1 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Crystal

    Mild. 'Noble'. Used mainly for its aroma which is mild and pleasant.

  • 1 oz Crystal - 4.1 AA% pellets; boiled 30 min

  • 1 oz Hallertau - 4.2 AA% pellets; boiled 5 min

    Hallertau

  • 1 oz Cascade - 5.9 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • 1 tsp Irish Moss - (omitted from calculations)

    Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

    Used commercially for several classic American ales. This strain ferments dry, finishes soft, smooth and dean, and is very well balanced.

Notes

Steep Grains 155 degrees for 30 minutes. 1 tsp. of Irish Moss last 15 min. of boil.
