White Labs WLP023 Burton Ale
White Labs WLP023 Burton Ale
From the famous brewing town of Burton upon Trent, England, this yeast is packed with character. It provides delicious subtle fruity flavors like apple, clover honey and pear. Great for all English styles, IPA's, bitters, and pales. Excellent in porters a
Notes
Malt was actually Hugh Baird, not in database. Beer started out as an ESB for competition, but did not finish in time. Added tea made from steeped dark malts to darken beer to range of a brown ale. Will see how it turns out.

Discussion
Not very good

This experiment did not turn out very well. The color is correct, but the beer retained a "grainy" sweetness, like unfermented wort, despite sitting at room temp for over 2 weeks.
