Ingredients (Partial Mash5 gal)

  • 3 lbs German 2-row Pils

    German 2-row Pils

  • 1.5 lbs Crystal Malt 40°L

    Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 0.5 lbs Belgian Cara-Pils

    Belgian Cara-Pils

    Significantly increases foam/head retention and body of the beer.

  • 0.5 lbs German Light Crystal

    German Light Crystal

  • 2.0 lbs Dry Light Extract

    Dry Light Extract

    White color, mild flavor. Will produce lagers and Pilseners and can also be used to produce darker beers when used in conjunction with colored malts. Made of pale malt.

  • 2 lbs Dry Amber Extract

    Dry Amber Extract

    Cream-colored and full-flavored; will produce amber colored beers such as pale ales, IPAs, and bitters. Made of pale and crystal malts.

  • 0.5 lbs Honey

    Honey

    Imparts sweet and dry taste. For honey and brown ales. Also: specialty ales.

  • 2.0 oz Cascade - 5.4 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • 0.50 oz Hallertau - 4.1 AA% pellets; boiled 10 min

    Good for all around bittering and finishing stock ales, Belgian ales, and continental style lagers. Aroma is mild, pleasant and flowery.

  • 0.50 oz Saaz - 3.6 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Saaz

    Used for finishing pilseners, continental lagers, and wheats. The aroma is spicy and pleasant with fragrant overtones.

    Wyeast 1098 British Ale™

    From Whitbread. Ferments dry and crisp, slightly tart, fruity and well-balanced. Ferments well down to 65F.

Notes

Infusion Mash grains 45 minutes @ 155 deg Add water, honey and DME and boil for 1 Hr. add hops per recipe times add spices, 2 oz of orange peel &1 tsp irish moss at 15 min 68 Deg Primary for 1 week 68 Deg Secondary for 1 week minimum
