German Pilsner (Pils) • All Grain • 5.25 gal

This pilsner turned out really good! I will make it again, but I will probably increase the second hop addition to .75 oz. and reduce the finishing hops to .25 oz.

  • .5 lbs Dextrine Malt

    Dextrine Malt

    In light-colored beers to give additional body. Adds richness without color.

  • 9 lbs German 2-row Pils

    German 2-row Pils

  • 1 oz Tettnanger - 4.6 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Tettnanger

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • .5 oz Hallertauer Mittelfrüher - 5.1 AA% whole; boiled 45 min

    Hallertauer Mittelfrüher

    Fine, 'Noble'.

  • .5 oz Hallertauer Mittelfrüher - 5.1 AA% whole; boiled 20 min

    Hallertauer Mittelfrüher

    Fine, 'Noble'.

  • Wyeast 3766 Cider

    Wyeast 3766 Cider

    Crisp dry fermenting yeast with big, fruity finish. Creates a nice balance for all types of apples, pears and other fruit or fermentables. Allows fruit character to dominate the profile.
