Belgian Pale Ale • Extract • 5 gal

This beer is great. And it will knock you on your @ss while still going down nice and smooth. Amber in color, but light in taste. Excellent overall, as judged by all tasters.

Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 1/8 lbs Belgian Biscuit

    Belgian Biscuit

    Warm baked biscuit flavor and aroma. Increases body. Use in Belgian beers.

  • 1/4 lbs Belgian Aromatic

    Belgian Aromatic

    Imparts a big malt aroma. Use in brown ales, Belgian dubbels and tripels.

  • 4 lbs Liquid Light Extract

    Liquid Light Extract

    A brewer can create any beer style with this extract when used as a base in conjunction with colored malts and selected hops. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 4 lbs Pale Liquid; Alexanders

    Pale Liquid; Alexanders

    Reportedly lightest colored malt extract available.

  • 0.5 lbs Candi Sugar Clear

    Candi Sugar Clear

    Smooth taste, good head retention, sweet aroma and high gravity without being apparent. Use in Belgian and holiday ales. Use clear for tripels, amber for dubbels, and dark is used in brown beer and strong golden ales.

  • 1 oz Styrian Goldings - 6.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

  • 1/4 oz Saaz - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Used for finishing pilseners, continental lagers, and wheats. The aroma is spicy and pleasant with fragrant overtones.

  • 1/8 oz Chinook - 13.0 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Spicy, Medium to Heavy.Very strong bittering ability used in all American ales and lagers. Aroma is very floral.

  • 1/8 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.
