Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 3/4 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L

    Crystal Malt 60°L

    Sweet caramel flavor, deep golden to red color. For dark amber and brown ales.

  • 1/2 lbs American Victory

    American Victory

    Provides a deep golden to brown color. Use in nut brown ales, IPAs and Scottish ales.

  • 5 1/2 lbs Dry Amber Extract

    Dry Amber Extract

    Cream-colored and full-flavored; will produce amber colored beers such as pale ales, IPAs, and bitters. Made of pale and crystal malts.

  • 1/2 lbs Dark Brown Sugar

    Dark Brown Sugar

    Imparts rich, sweet flavor. Use in Scottish ales, old ales and holiday beers.

  • 2 1/4 oz Fuggle - 4.8 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Fuggle

    Mild. Mainly used for finishing and dry hopping especially pale ales, porters, and stouts. Aroma is mild and pleasant, spicy, and soft.

  • 1 1/4 oz East Kent Goldings - 5.0 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

    Mild, slightly flowery.

  • 1 1/4 oz East Kent Goldings - 5.0 AA% whole; boiled 1 min

  • 1 tsp Irish Moss - (omitted from calculations)

    Crisp dry fermenting yeast with big, fruity finish. Creates a nice balance for all types of apples, pears and other fruit or fermentables. Allows fruit character to dominate the profile.

Notes

Dry hopping with 1/2 oz. - 1 oz. Kent goldings wouldn't suck...
