    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 1/2 lbs Crystal Malt 60°L

    Crystal Malt 60°L

    Sweet caramel flavor, deep golden to red color. For dark amber and brown ales.

  • 1/2 lbs American Victory

    American Victory

    Provides a deep golden to brown color. Use in nut brown ales, IPAs and Scottish ales.

  • 6 lbs Liquid Amber Extract

    Amber is used predominantly in the production of medium-colored beers such as pale ales, IPAs, and bitters.

  • 1 oz Northern Brewer - 9.8 AA% pellets; boiled 50 min

Notes

Add grains to 1 1/2 gal. of 160 degree water, hold 45 min. Sparge w/170 degree water. Bring up to 2 1/2 gal., bring to boil, add extract. Add hops for required boiling times. All fermentation in glass at room temps.
