this is actually a Classic American Pilsner, a pre-prohibition American lager. There is no catagory for this so I put it here. The final formulation is to style though.

Ingredients (Partial Mash, 5 gal)
- 3 lbs
American 6-row Pale

Tends to increase lautering efficiency due to a stiffer husk. May be used as the base malt for any beer style. The enzymes in all varieties of the current crop are sufficient to support high percentages of specialty malts and adjuncts.

Dry Light Extract
Dry Light Extract
White color, mild flavor. Will produce lagers and Pilseners and can also be used to produce darker beers when used in conjunction with colored malts. Made of pale malt.

A brewer can create any beer style with this extract when used as a base in conjunction with colored malts and selected hops. Contains no colored malts or hops.

A pilsner yeast from the Weihenstephen. Ferments clean and malty, with rich residual maltiness in full gravity pilsners.
Notes
Mash 3# American 6 row malt with 1# flaked maize @150-157* for 1 hour and sparge. Add LME, DME, and Crystal hops and bring to a boil. Follow remander of hop schedule. Add 1/2 teaspoon Irish Moss with 15 minutes left in boil. Total boil time is 60 minutes. =================================== This is actually a Pre-Prohabition American Lager
