Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 1.0 lbs Crystal Malt 20°L

    Crystal Malt 20°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 6.0 lbs Liquid Light Extract

    Liquid Light Extract

    A brewer can create any beer style with this extract when used as a base in conjunction with colored malts and selected hops. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 1.0 lbs Dry Light Extract

    Dry Light Extract

    White color, mild flavor. Will produce lagers and Pilseners and can also be used to produce darker beers when used in conjunction with colored malts. Made of pale malt.

  • 1.0 oz Nugget - 10.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Nugget

    This is very bitter and often used in medium to dark ales and lagers. Aroma is quite heavy and herbal.

  • 2.0 oz Perle - 5.9 AA% pellets; boiled 5 min

    Perle

    Used mainly for its minty bittering and good green hop aromas in all non-pilsener lagersand wheats. Aroma is pleasant and slightly spicy

  • 1.0 oz Cascade - 6.3 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Cascade

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • .1 lb Irish Moss - (omitted from calculations)

  • Wyeast 3766 Cider

    Wyeast 3766 Cider

    Crisp dry fermenting yeast with big, fruity finish. Creates a nice balance for all types of apples, pears and other fruit or fermentables. Allows fruit character to dominate the profile.

Notes

The liquid extract is Alexander's Ultra-Light. Dry extract is Geordies. Bittering hops are Horizon.
