Due to the high price, I recommend brewing this ale in small batches. Also, aging this ale for more than 6 months (in bottle) will allow for more character.

Ingredients (Extract5.00 gal)

  • 3 lbs Crystal Malt 40°L

    Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 1/2 lbs English Wheat Malt

    English Wheat Malt

    Light flavor, creamy head. For wheat beers, stouts, doppelbocks and alt beers.

  • 2 1/2 lbs Crystal Malt 120°L

    Crystal Malt 120°L

    Pronounced caramel flavor and a red color. For stouts, porters and black beers.

  • 1 1/2 lbs Belgian Aromatic

    Belgian Aromatic

    Imparts a big malt aroma. Use in brown ales, Belgian dubbels and tripels.

  • 8 lbs Liquid Light Extract

    Liquid Light Extract

    A brewer can create any beer style with this extract when used as a base in conjunction with colored malts and selected hops. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 1 1/2 lbs Honey

    Honey

    Imparts sweet and dry taste. For honey and brown ales. Also: specialty ales.

  • 3 1/4 oz Willamette - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 90 min

    This hop is used for finishing and dry hopping American and British style ales. Aroma is mild and pleasant ans slightly spicy

  • 1 oz Chinook - 4.0 AA% pellets; boiled 90 min

    Spicy, Medium to Heavy.Very strong bittering ability used in all American ales and lagers. Aroma is very floral.

  • 1/2 oz Styrian Goldings - 7.0 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Mild, pleasant.

  • 1/2 oz Spalt Spalter - 4.0 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Spalt Spalter

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • 1 oz Irish Moss - (omitted from calculations)
