Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 1 lbs Crystal Malt 20°L

    Crystal Malt 20°L

Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • .75 lbs American 6-row Pale

    American 6-row Pale

Tends to increase lautering efficiency due to a stiffer husk. May be used as the base malt for any beer style. The enzymes in all varieties of the current crop are sufficient to support high percentages of specialty malts and adjuncts.

  • 7.5 lbs Dark; John Bull

    Dark; John Bull

Colored using roasted malt to give a rich mocha flavor and aroma bringing individuality to mild, porter, and stout brews.

  • 1 oz East Kent Goldings - 6.2 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    East Kent Goldings

    Mild, slightly flowery.

  • 1 oz Wye Target - 13.6 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

    Wye Target

Neutral high-alpha. Bred from Northern Brewer crossed with some Goldenings. Used for hopped malt extract and many English Ales.

  • Imperial Yeast A09 Pub

    Imperial Yeast A09 Pub

Brewers swear by this strain to achieve super bright ales in a short amount of time. One of the most flocculent brewer’s strains around, Pub will rip through fermentation and then drop out of the beer quickly. Pub produces higher levels of esters than most domestic ale strains. Be sure to give beers made with Pub a sufficient diacetyl rest.

Notes

not really using Wye Target, it is Yakima Magnum Leaf 13.6 AA
