Ingredients (All Grain5 gal)

  • 7 lbs English 2-row Pale

    English 2-row Pale

    All English Ales. Workhorse of British Brewing. Infusion Mash.

  • 3 lbs Rye Malt

    Rye Malt

    Often used in German Ales and specialty beers

  • 1.25 lbs German Light Munich

    German Light Munich

    For a desired malty, nutty flavor. Lagers, Oktoberfests and bock beer.

  • .75 lbs Dextrine Malt

    Dextrine Malt

    In light-colored beers to give additional body. Adds richness without color.

  • .75 lbs White Wheat Malt

    White Wheat Malt

    Weizens. Improves head retention in all beers. Contributes spicy flavor. Protein rest required.

  • .025 lbs British Black Patent

    British Black Patent

    Dry, burnt, chalky character. Use in porters, stouts, brown ales and dark lagers.

  • 1.5 lbs Rye Flaked

    Rye Flaked

    Imparts a dry, crisp character. Use in rye beers.

  • .75 oz Centennial - 12.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Centennial

    Aromatic but acceptable for bittering. Medium aroma with floral and citrus tones. Good in medium to dark ales.

  • .5 oz Chinook - 10.5 AA% pellets; boiled 30 min

    Chinook

    Spicy, Medium to Heavy.Very strong bittering ability used in all American ales and lagers. Aroma is very floral.

  • 1.75 oz Centennial - 12.0 AA% pellets; boiled 5 min

    Centennial

    Aromatic but acceptable for bittering. Medium aroma with floral and citrus tones. Good in medium to dark ales.

We made this beer and it was very good. I had the actual beer at the GABF and it was awesome. Very smooth. We will brew this again.

Here we go again!!

Here we go again! want a little more booze so I am going to add some honey at flame-out. I also added some flaked barley and it helped the head retention and mouth feel.
