  • 11 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 1 lbs Crystal Malt 40°L

    Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 0.5 oz Magnum - 13.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min


    A West Coast hop with high Alpha Acid. Excellent bittering hop.

  • 0.5 oz Perle - 5.5 AA% pellets; boiled 30 min


    Used mainly for its minty bittering and good green hop aromas in all non-pilsener lagersand wheats. Aroma is pleasant and slightly spicy

  • 2 oz Cascade - 6.9 AA% pellets; boiled 5 min


    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • 1 ea Whirlfloc Tablets (Irish moss) - 15 minutes (omitted from calculations)

  • Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

    Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

    Used commercially for several classic American ales. This strain ferments dry, finishes soft, smooth and dean, and is very well balanced.


Mash at 148F for 60 and boil for 60. Cascade additions are 2oz at 10min and 1oz at flameout.
