Aprihop Clone

Aprihop Clone

Fruit Beer • All Grain • 5 gal

raymundo

One of the best beers that I've ever made. I tasted this next to a Dogfish Head Aprihop, and they were extremely similar.

Ingredients (All Grain5 gal)

  • 10 lbs 2-Row Brewers Malt; Briess

    2-Row Brewers Malt; Briess

Mild malty flavor. Characteristics & Applications: • Base malt for all beer styles • Smoother, less grainy flavor than 6-Row Brewers Malt. • Slightly higher yield than 6-Row Brewers Malt. • Slight lower protein than 6-Row Brewers Malt. • Produced from AMBA/BMBRI recommended 2-Row Malting Barley varieties.

  • 3 lbs Munich Malt

    Munich Malt

Sweet, toasted flavor and aroma. For Oktoberfests and malty styles

  • 1 lbs Caramel Malt 10L; Briess

    Caramel Malt 10L; Briess

Candylike sweetness, mild caramel flavor. Characteristics & Applications: • In contrast to Brewers Malt, glassiness is a distinguishing characteristic of Caramel Malt. The glassy endosperm creates the desirable non-fermentable components giving true Caramel Malt the ability to contribute body (mouthfeel), foam, foam retention, and extended beer stability, while contributing color and unique caramel flavor. • Caramel 10L is a roasted caramel malt that imparts golden color. • Use 3-7% for Pilsener-style beers for balance. • Use 5-15% to provide color, sweetness and color to light amber beers. • Produced from AMBA/BMBRI recommended 6-Row Malting Barley varieties.

  • 1 lbs White Wheat Malt; Briess

    White Wheat Malt; Briess

Sweet, malty, wheat, floury flavors. Characteristics & Applications: • Imparts malty flavor not obtainable from raw wheat. • Use with rice hulls to improve lautering and help prevent stuck mash. • White Wheat Malt contributes to foam production and foam stability.

  • 1 lbs Caramel Pils; Meussdoerffer

    Caramel Pils; Meussdoerffer

This very light caramel malt will improve body and head retention. Meussdoerffer Caramel Pils is ideal for use in Pilsner, light lager, and low alcohol beers.

  • 4 lb Apricot (pureed) - (2) 2lb packages from Sams Club + Water + Blending (omitted from calculations)

    Apricot (pureed)

Apricots finely chopped to a jelly like state.

  • White Labs WLP001 California Ale

    White Labs WLP001 California Ale

This yeast is famous for its clean flavors, balance and ability to be used in almost any style ale. It accentuates the hop flavors and is extremely versatile.
