Ingredients (Partial Mash10 gal)

  • 10 lbs German 2-row Pils

    German 2-row Pils

  • 4 lbs Belgian Cara-Pils

    Belgian Cara-Pils

    Significantly increases foam/head retention and body of the beer.

  • 1 lbs German Smoked

    German Smoked

    Earthy, rich smoke flavor

  • 6 lbs German Dark Crystal

    German Dark Crystal

  • 6 lbs Liquid Amber Extract

    Liquid Amber Extract

    Amber is used predominantly in the production of medium-colored beers such as pale ales, IPAs, and bitters.

  • 1 oz Chinook - 7.5 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

    Chinook

    Spicy, Medium to Heavy.Very strong bittering ability used in all American ales and lagers. Aroma is very floral.

  • 1 oz Tettnanger - 3.8 AA% whole; boiled 30 min

    Tettnanger

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • 1 oz Hallertau - 4.5 AA% whole; boiled 20 min

    Hallertau

    Good for all around bittering and finishing stock ales, Belgian ales, and continental style lagers. Aroma is mild, pleasant and flowery.

  • 1 oz Saaz - 4.8 AA% whole; boiled 15 min

    Saaz

    Used for finishing pilseners, continental lagers, and wheats. The aroma is spicy and pleasant with fragrant overtones.

  • 1 tbsp irish moss - (omitted from calculations)
