Testing out this recipe for my wife. She likes dry crisp blonde ales. I am making it lighting in alcohol to make it light (diet) beer.

  • 8.96 lbs Northwest Pale Ale Malt; Great Western

    Northwest Pale Ale Malt; Great Western

    A slightly darker base malt than our Premium 2-Row, our Northwest Pale Ale Malt is produced from well-modified, Western-grown 2-Row barley, with a kilning regimen based closely on traditional British Pale Ale malting practices. Contributes a malty complexity to beer flavor and aroma. Excellent in American Pale Ales and American versions of British beer styles.

  • 0.28 lbs Torrified Wheat

    Torrified Wheat

    Helps head retention and mouthfeel, used in some pale ales.

  • 0.7 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • 0.60 oz Willamette - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Willamette

    This hop is used for finishing and dry hopping American and British style ales. Aroma is mild and pleasant ans slightly spicy

  • 0.60 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • Wyeast 1056 American Ale™

    Wyeast 1056 American Ale™
