IPL recipe based on the one from the Bruery, mash @ 152...I changed the hop types from theirs for what I have on hand, they use almost all Simco and Centennial with Summit at the 1st addition.

Ingredients (All Grain8 gal)

  • 18 lbs English 2-row Lager

    English 2-row Lager

  • 1 lbs Crystal 15; Great Western

    Crystal 15; Great Western

    A lightly roasted two-row malt. The slight caramel flavor and light color provides the brewer with subtlety in the recipe.

  • 1.5 lbs Rice Flaked

    Rice Flaked

    Used to add fermentables without increasing body or flavor. Produces a milder, less grainy tasting beer. Examples: American lagers, Bohemian lagers, Pilsners

  • 1 lbs Honey

    Honey

    Imparts sweet and dry taste. For honey and brown ales. Also: specialty ales.

  • 1 oz Summit™ - 17.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Summit™

    Super-high alpha hop with a low cohumulone content and a strong orange/tangerine citrus character.

  • 1 oz Simcoe® - 13.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Simcoe®

    Used for aromatic, and especially bittering properties.

  • 1 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% pellets; boiled 5 min

    Cascade

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • 1 oz Simcoe® - 13.0 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Used for aromatic, and especially bittering properties.

  • .5 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Cascade

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • 1 oz Centennial - 10.0 AA% pellets; added dry to secondary fermenter

    Centennial

    Aromatic but acceptable for bittering. Medium aroma with floral and citrus tones. Good in medium to dark ales.

  • 1 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% pellets; added dry to secondary fermenter

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • 1 tbsp Orange Peel (dried) - at the 5 min mark in boil (omitted from calculations)

    Has a fragrantt sweet odor and a subtle mild sweetness. One medium orange has about 3 tablespoons of grated peel.

  • White Labs WLP940 Mexican Lager

    White Labs WLP940 Mexican Lager

    From Mexico City, this yeast produces clean lager beer, with a crisp finish. Good for Mexican style light lagers, as well as dark lagers. Available March-April

Notes

Based on the IPL recipe from the Bruery, Using different hops that6 I have in stock now so end flavor will be a bit different but shooting for same ABV and IBU.
