Maris Otter; Crisp
Maris Otter; Crisp
An English thoroughbred and a favored choice of malt for many brewers. Simpsons' Maris Otter has a rich and nutty flavor and despite its small, berry size has a strong husk. This malt delivers predictable brewhouse performance with modest, yet consistent extracts. Brewers can expect good runoffs with clear wort.

Very good beer!

First tasting was a bit bitter. Adjusted and rebrewed on 11/1/2014. Has now slightly mellowed out. Perfect beer to put bottles down and age 1 years. Very smooth off-white head that lasts. Caramel and chocolate flavors compliment the bitterness for a full flavored beer.
