Ingredients (All Grain5 gal)

  • 6 lbs Maris Otter Pale

    Maris Otter Pale

An English thoroughbred and a favored choice of malt for many brewers. Simpsons' Maris Otter has a rich and nutty flavor and despite its small, berry size has a strong husk. This malt delivers predictable brewhouse performance with modest, yet consistent extracts. Brewers can expect good runoffs with clear wort.

  • 6 lbs White Wheat Malt

    White Wheat Malt

Weizens. Improves head retention in all beers. Contributes spicy flavor. Protein rest required.

  • .5 lbs Carawheat; Powells Malt

    Carawheat; Powells Malt

Carawheat is used in the production of wheat beers, dark lagers and festival beers. Carawheat is produced in a similar way to Caramalt. It contributes a sweet flavour, enhanced colour and improved body, foam and foam stability to beers.

  • .5 lbs Wheat Flaked

    Wheat Flaked

Belgian White Ale(wit), other specialty beers.

  • .75 oz Hallertau - 4.7 AA% pellets; boiled 70 min

    Hallertau

Good for all around bittering and finishing stock ales, Belgian ales, and continental style lagers. Aroma is mild, pleasant and flowery.

  • Wyeast 3068 Weihenstephan Weizen™

    Wyeast 3068 Weihenstephan Weizen™

Unique top-fermenting yeast which produces the unique and spicy weizen character, rich with clove, vanilla and banana. Best results are achieved when fermentations are held around 68F.
