Ingredients (Partial Mash5 gal)

  • 2.5 lbs White Wheat Malt

    White Wheat Malt

    Weizens. Improves head retention in all beers. Contributes spicy flavor. Protein rest required.

  • 3.0 lbs Dry Wheat; Muntons

    Dry Wheat; Muntons

    Made with a preponderance of wheat malt (55%) for the production of wheat or Weiss beers. Contains no colored malts or hops.

  • 1.5 lbs Pale Liquid; Alexanders

    Pale Liquid; Alexanders

    Reportedly lightest colored malt extract available.

  • 0.5 lbs Honey

    Honey

    Imparts sweet and dry taste. For honey and brown ales. Also: specialty ales.

  • .5 oz Tettnanger - 4.5 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Tettnanger

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • 1.0 oz Mt. Hood - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Mt. Hood

    Used mainly for aroma and flavor in American and German style ales and lagers. Aroma is mild, pleasant, light, and clean.

  • 2 ea Orange zest - zest of two oranges (10 minutes) (omitted from calculations)

    Orange zest

    Has a fragrantt sweet odor and a subtle mild sweetness. One medium orange has about 3 tablespoons of grated peel.

  • 6 oz Orange juice - fresh squeezed from the oranges (30 minutes) (omitted from calculations)

    Adds sweet tangy citrus flavor.

  • White Labs WLP400 Belgian Wit Ale

    White Labs WLP400 Belgian Wit Ale

    Slightly phenolic and tart, this is the original yeast used to produce Wit in Belgium.
