Ingredients (All Grain5 gal)

  • 8.5 lbs Canadian 2-Row Malt; Canada Malting

    Canadian 2-Row Malt; Canada Malting

    Traditional, premium grade 2-Row malt made from the finest Canadian barley malt varieties. This malt is a suitable base for all beer styles.

  • 0.125 lbs Honey Malt

    Honey Malt

    Nutty honey flavor. For brown ales, Belgian wheats, bocks and many other styles.

  • 1 lbs Corn Flaked (Maize)

    Corn Flaked (Maize)

    Generally a neutral flavor, used to reduce maltiness of beer. Produces beer with a milder, less malty flavor. Uses: Primarily for light Bohemian and Pilsner lagers.

  • .75 lbs Rice Hulls

    Rice Hulls

    Rice Hulls are used as a filter medium, mostly used in all grain wheat beers to help prevent a stuck mash.

  • 0.6 oz Tettnanger - 4.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Tettnanger

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • 0.5 oz Cascade - 7.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Cascade

    Spicy with citrus notes. Slightly grapefruity.

  • 0.50 oz Tettnanger - 4.0 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Tettnanger

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • White Labs WLP001 California Ale

    White Labs WLP001 California Ale

    This yeast is famous for its clean flavors, balance and ability to be used in almost any style ale. It accentuates the hop flavors and is extremely versatile.

Notes

Mash at 152 for 60 minutes. Sparge at 175 and take 30-40 minutes to collect wort. Added 1 tsp of irish moss last 15 minutes of boil. OG 1.055.
