Obie

Strong , full-bodied, smooth

Overall I'm happy with the beer. OG ended up at 1.072 and FG at 1.022... which makes a 6.6% ABV beer. It is full-bodied like I wanted, the 1oz of vanilla at the end was not quite enough. Should have been 1.5 to 2oz. Nice flavor, definetly a porter. Great body, great color. I added one secret ingredient which was (maybe you could guess) "Granola"... steeped at 155degrees prior to boil. I think this was a great addition which added to the aftertaste of the beer. I think it could be better though, so I'm giving it a 3 star. I may alter the recipe a bit next time and I will let you know how that turns out. Again, very happy with the beer, will be a pleasure to drink all 5 gallons. --OG
