4.0/5.0 1 rating

Ingredients (All Grain10 gal)

  • 15 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 5 lbs Wheat Raw

    Wheat Raw

Contributes glyco-proteins to enhance foam stability.

  • 2 oz Mt. Hood - 5.4 AA% whole; boiled 90 min

    Mt. Hood

Used mainly for aroma and flavor in American and German style ales and lagers. Aroma is mild, pleasant, light, and clean.

  • 1 oz Saaz - 5.5 AA% pellets; boiled 5 min

    Saaz

Used for finishing pilseners, continental lagers, and wheats. The aroma is spicy and pleasant with fragrant overtones.

  • Wyeast 2278 Czech Pils™

    Wyeast 2278 Czech Pils™

Classic pilsner strain from the home of pilsners for a dry, but malty finish. The perfect choice for pilsners and bock beers. Sulfur produced during fermentation dissipates with conditioning.

Nice clean beer - Not enough hop

Second attempt moved too far. The beer is crystal clear with a slight bitterness making a great general purpose lager, but I desire more hop flavor and nose. Needs more hop in the boil. The Saaz in combination with the wheat contributes that distinct floral taste, but it is much less than the first attempt.
