Just Bottled

Just bottled tonite and it smelled wonderful. Coffee and chocolate with a bit of Earthiness just as I had hoped for, should be great. I will update in 3 to 4 weeks when I drink the first bit.
Just cracked one tonite

Tried one tonite after 17 days in the bottle and it was excellent, if I do say so meself. Nice creamy tan head that stays thruout, chocolaty notes and hints of coffee a bit grainy but very nice none the less. The oats didn't come through as I had hoped, I didn't want to over do it with the oats but all and all this beer is coming along very nicely. If I had to compare it to a commercial beer I would say it is very close to the Alaskan Oatmeal Stout. Drink up me hearties yo ho!!
