Ingredients (All Grain5 gal)

  • 8.75 lbs Pilsen Malt; Malteries Franco-Belges

    Pilsen Malt; Malteries Franco-Belges

    Light in color and low in total protein, MFB Pilsen malt is produced from the finest European two-row barley. This malt is extremely well modified and can easily be mashed with a single-temperature infusion.

  • 0.00 lbs Belgian Munich

    Belgian Munich

    Used to increase malt aroma and body with slightly more color.

  • 0.63 lbs Acidulated Malt; Weyermann®

    Acidulated Malt; Weyermann®

    German-grown two-row spring barley (2004 harvest). Product Characteristics: Lowers mash, wort, and beer pH. Contains 1−2% lactic acid. Slightly smoky. Enhances enzymatic activity in mash and improves extract efficiency. Lightens color in pale brews. Enhances stability and extends shelf life of finished beer. Promotes well-rounded, complex beer flavor. Recommended Quantities: Up to 10% of total grain bill. Each 1% lowers mash pH by 0.1. Suitability (beer styles): Any ale or lager, especially Pils/Pilsner/Pilsener, low-alcohol beers, wheat beers

  • 0.63 lbs Golden Naked Oats

    Golden Naked Oats

    Huskless oat crystal malt. Exotic ingredient for subtle nutty difference. This malt lends a sweet berry-nut flavor. Use at a rate of 4-15% of the total grist to deliver a deep golden hue with light caramel flavors as well as a creamy, satin finish.

  • 0.63 lbs Belgian Aromatic

    Belgian Aromatic

    Imparts a big malt aroma. Use in brown ales, Belgian dubbels and tripels.

  • 0.25 oz Columbus - 13.9 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Columbus

    Used mainly for bittering with some flavor qualities as well. Aroma is pleasant.

  • 1.75 oz Styrian Goldings - 4.6 AA% pellets; boiled 1 min

    Styrian Goldings

    Mild, pleasant.

  • 0.25 oz Columbus - 13.9 AA% pellets; added dry to primary fermenter

    Columbus

    Used mainly for bittering with some flavor qualities as well. Aroma is pleasant.

  • Wyeast 3522 Belgian Ardennes™

    Wyeast 3522 Belgian Ardennes™

    One of many great beer yeasts to produce classic Belgian ales. Phenolics develop with increased fermentation temperatures, mild fuitiness and complex spicy character.

this is a pro series all grain kit from northern brewer. Columbus hop listed a dry hop to primary are actually first wort hops.
