My next brew, should come out crisp and clean. Experimenting with classic American Pilsner flavors. Seems like a very balanced recipe. Haven't had a bad tasting brew yet.

Ingredients (Extract5 gal)

  • 0.79 lbs 6-Row Brewers Malt; Briess

    6-Row Brewers Malt; Briess

    Mild grain malty flavor. Characteristics & Applications: • Base malt for all beer styles • More husk than 2-Row Brewers Malt making it well suited for high adjunct brewing. • Produced from AMBA/BMBRI recommended 6-Row Malting Barley varieties.

  • 5.79 lbs Liquid Extra Light; Muntons

    Liquid Extra Light; Muntons

    Made from the lightest available lager malt, processed carefully with the gentlest heat necessary to ensure that the resultant extract is the lightest possible from 100% malt.

  • 0.31 lbs Rice Syrup

    Rice Syrup

    Used like other rice adjuncts in American and Japenes lagers to provide a dry, clean taste and light body. Adds gravity without changing body or flavor substantially. Use in place of corn sugar in small quantities.

  • 0.7 oz Centennial - 10.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Centennial

    Aromatic but acceptable for bittering. Medium aroma with floral and citrus tones. Good in medium to dark ales.

  • 0.50 oz Czech Saaz - 5.0 AA% pellets; boiled 15 min

    Czech Saaz

    Very mild. 'Noble'.
