  • 1 lbs German Wheat Malt Light

  • .5 lbs Rye Malt

    Often used in German Ales and specialty beers

  • .4 lbs Crystal Malt 40°L

    Crystal Malt 40°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • .25 lbs Belgian Special B

    Belgian Special B

  • 3.3 lbs Munich Liquid; Alexanders

    Munich Liquid; Alexanders

    Often used in belgian specialty ales, Dusseldorf Altbier, and Northern German Altbier.

  • .75 oz Nugget - 10.0 AA% whole; boiled 45 min

    Nugget

    This is very bitter and often used in medium to dark ales and lagers. Aroma is quite heavy and herbal.

  • 1 oz Hallertau - 4.3 AA% pellets; boiled 20 min

    Hallertau

    Good for all around bittering and finishing stock ales, Belgian ales, and continental style lagers. Aroma is mild, pleasant and flowery.

  • 1 oz Spalt Spalter - 3.9 AA% pellets; boiled 5 min

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • 1 ea Whirlfloc Tablets (Irish moss) - 15 mins from flameout (omitted from calculations)
