the thought of the recipe makes me excited, make sure for best beer you make a traditional double decoction mash, it may take some time so devote a full 4-5 hours for the beer, majority of time is double decoction and dont be intimidated its easy just takes a long time, for help look at double decoction on youtube, it will help bring out a great malty flavor, im going to brew this very soon and age until this winter
Just brewed

Just got done brewing! looks a little darker than the "animated version" but i did a Hochkurz Double Decoction and with the 1 hour boil it took a total of 6 hrs, but not too bad, got a lot of homework done with the 3-4hr mash, smells very grainy! had to uses a 1:1 grain/water ratio to fit it in my 48 qt mash tun! Im very excited to drink this bad boy this winter
did some playing around with efficiency

The recipe is edited to reflect how the brewday went. I must have gotten 62% efficiency with the way i mashed? Hochkurz double decoction, im thinking I didnt sparge long enough? did a pretty fast sparge, but hey i always learn for next time!
