    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 4.0 lbs German 2-row Pils

  • 2.5 lbs Crystal Malt 20°L

    Sweet, mild caramel flavor and a golden color. Use in light lagers and light ales.

  • 1.25 lbs Belgian Cara-Pils

    This yeast is famous for its clean flavors, balance and ability to be used in almost any style ale. It accentuates the hop flavors and is extremely versatile.

Notes

Dough in with 26 qts of 169F strike water. Mash at 152F until converted. Sparge with 8 gallons of 174F treated water. FWH = First Wort Hopping on all hops. Top up to 14.5 gallons pre boil volume. I have also made this as a fruit beer by adding 3/4 lb of assertive fruit per gallon (Raspberries) and 1 lb of mild fruit per gallon (Strawberries) and peptic enzyme with excellent results.
