Rasputin
Russian Imperial Stout • All Grain • 5 gal
First truly big beer. A starter was used before pitching. this was a Parti-gyle batch, yielding a lower grav beer aptly named Anastasia. she turned out at 1.045 before pitching with the only other yeast I had on hand...Safebrew s-33. Oak chips were soaked in rum for two weeks and added to the Primary ferment for a week. It came out great, sorry for the delay in updating. Both have a real nice smoke character and rasputin still has a good kick.
