Surprisingly smooth after nearly 2 months in the bottle. Best beer of show at a small local show. Great sipper. Trying to let it mature, but not doing very well!!

  • 6 kg Australian Traditional Ale

    Well modified, full flavour.

  • .5 kg Australian Wheat Malt

    Australian Wheat Malt

    Malted wheat for use in Wheat beers.

  • .6 kg Weyermann CaraAroma®; Weyermann

    Weyermann CaraAroma®; Weyermann

    Amber Ale, Dunkel Lager, Dark Ale, Stout, Porter, Bock Beer

  • .3 kg Oat Malt; Thomas Fawcett

    Oat Malt; Thomas Fawcett

  • .075 kg British Black Patent

    British Black Patent

    Dry, burnt, chalky character. Use in porters, stouts, brown ales and dark lagers.

  • .07 kg Treacle

    Treacle

    Imparts intense, sweet flavor. A British mixture of molasses, invert sugar and golden syrup (corn syrup). Use in dark English ales.

  • 17 g Galena - 11.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Galena

    Neutral. This hop can be very bitter, but blends well with finishing hops. Used in American ales and lagers, but suitable for all beer styles. Aroma is medium but pleasant.

  • 90 g Challenger - 6.1 AA% pellets; boiled 10 min

    Challenger

    Popular bittering hop used primarily in British ales and lagers. Mild to moderate aroma, but quite spicy.

    CL-130 is a smooth, full flavored ale yeast. Mildly estery, this yeast is smooth, well rounded and accentuates caramel and other malt nuances. It is a strong fermenter and is also good for strong or spiced ales.
