  • 16 lbs American 2-row

    American 2-row

    Yields a slightly higher extract than Six Rox brewers Malt. Tends to give a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Some brewers claim they can detect a significant difference in flavor. Lower protein and will yield a lower color than Six-Row Brewers Malt

  • 1 lbs Belgian Cara-Pils

    Belgian Cara-Pils

    Significantly increases foam/head retention and body of the beer.

  • 1 lbs Crystal Malt 80°L

    Crystal Malt 80°L

    Body and Richness. Distictive Nutty flavor and or sweet, smooth caramel flavor and a red to deep red color. For porters, old ales.

  • 1 lbs Barley Flaked

    Barley Flaked

    Helps head retention, imparts creamy smoothness. For porters and stouts.

  • 1 oz Chinook - 10.0 AA% pellets; boiled 60 min

    Spicy, Medium to Heavy.Very strong bittering ability used in all American ales and lagers. Aroma is very floral.

  • 2 oz Cascade - 5.5 AA% pellets; boiled 2 min

  • Wyeast 1272 American Ale II™

    Wyeast 1272 American Ale II™

    Fruitier and more flocculant than 1056, slightly nutty, soft, clean, slightly tart finish.

Notes

1) Mash In w/ 6.5 gal @ 163F, Adjust to 150F as required. 2) Rest for 90 Min @ 150F or when iodine test results are satisfactory. 3) Mash out by adding 200F water until mash is 163-170F. 4) Rest 10 min. 5) Sparge and run-off w/ 168F water to collect 13 gallons. 6) Boil for 90 min, adding hops as scheduled. 7) Cool and pitch two pkgs Wyeast 1056. 8) Ferment one week, transfer to secondary or drain trub (conis)for 1 week.
