  • 3 lbs Pale Wheat Malt; Weyermann®

    Pale Wheat Malt; Weyermann®

    German-grown top-quality wheat (2004 harvest). Product Characteristics: Ideal foundation grain for pale Weizenbiers, such as Hefeweizen and Kristallweizen. Essential ingredient in North American pub wheat ales. Adds creaminess, body, and complex wheat flavors to top-fermented beers. Recommended Quantities: Up to 80% in Bavarian-style Weizenbiers, up to 50% in North American pub wheat ales, up to 7% in Altbier and Kölsch. Suitability (beer styles): Ales: Hefeweizen, Kristallweizen, Weizenbock, Dunkelweizen, pub wheat ales, Altbier, Kölsch, light or low-alcohol beers

  • 3 lbs Rye Malt; Weyermann®

    Rye Malt; Weyermann®

    German-grown top-quality rye (2004 harvest). Product Characteristics: Lends biscuit-like, smooth, almost oily, (typical) rye component to finished beer. Recommended Quantities: Up to 30% of total grain bill (occasionally used up to 50%). Suitability (beer styles): All specialty, multi-grain ales and lagers.

    Bohemian Pilsner Malt; Weyermann®

    Czech-grown two-row spring barley “HANKA”. Processed specifically for “Bohemian” characteristics to impart a full body, golden-blond color, and complex maltiness to the finished brew. Recommended Quantities: Up to 100% of total grain bill. Suitability (beer styles): All lagers (especially Pils/Pilsner/Pilsener) as well as low-alcohol, “light“, and Belgian ales and lagers.

    German Light Munich

    For a desired malty, nutty flavor. Lagers, Oktoberfests and bock beer.

  • 2 oz Hallertauer Hersbrucker - 4.5 AA% whole; boiled 60 min

  • 1 oz Tettnanger - 4.5 AA% whole; boiled 10 min

    Mild, slightly spicy. 'Noble'.

  • Wyeast 3068 Weihenstephan Weizen™

    Wyeast 3068 Weihenstephan Weizen™

    Unique top-fermenting yeast which produces the unique and spicy weizen character, rich with clove, vanilla and banana. Best results are achieved when fermentations are held around 68F.
